Chuseok Hanmadang 2026: “Hangawi Together” at the National Folk Museum of Korea
2026 추석한마당 <모두 함께 한가위> (국립민속박물관)
The National Folk Museum offers free Hanmadang celebrations on September 26–27 at both its Seoul headquarters and Paju branch. The Seoul location features harvest experiences, traditional wrestling (ssireum) and folk games, craft workshops, family-based relay games, and Ganggangsullae performances with traditional concerts. A photo booth and prize giveaway are also available. The Paju branch (30 Heyrireul, Tanhyeon-myeon, Paju, Gyeonggi) offers open-storage exhibitions, craft workshops, and a theatrical performance featuring a traditional storyteller and a goblin character. The museum closes on Chuseok itself (September 25).
