2026 DMZ PEACE FESTA
Designed to unify fragmented tourism resources of the DMZ border region, this relay festival connects Ganghwa and Cheolwon around three central themes: nature and ecology, local residents' stories and lives, and reflection and wellness. Each region offers immersive experiences rooted in its unique heritage. In Ganghwa, visitors join peace walks with DMZ residents and enjoy street performances; in Cheolwon, the festival features backpacking expeditions and busking entertainment. Specialized workshops enrich the program, including storytelling cocktail-making on refugee narratives, sound collection during nature walks, media art installations, and silent disco experiences.
