Free Entry to the Royal Palaces, Jongmyo and Royal Tombs for Chuseok
추석 연휴 4대궁·종묘·조선왕릉 무료 개방
The National Heritage Agency opens the four grand palaces (Gyeongbokgung, Changdeokgung, Deoksugung, and Changgyeonggung), Jongmyo Shrine, and royal tombs free of charge for four days (September 24–27). Note that Changdeokgung's secret gardens are excluded from free admission. Jongmyo, which normally requires advance booking, will be accessible without reservation (9am–6pm, last entry 5pm). At Gyeongbokgung, guard-changing ceremonies will take place at 10am and 2pm, guard-duty rituals at 11am and 1pm, and patrol ceremonies at 3pm, all without advance reservation.
