Shrine Ornaments of the Hwangnyongsa Wooden Pagoda
황룡사 목탑 사리장엄구
Commemorating the 50th anniversary of excavations at the Hwangnyongsa site in Gyeongju, the National Museum of Gyeongju presents approximately 350 shrine ornaments discovered in the central chamber and during the 1976 excavation. This exhibition unveils for the first time the gilt bronze reliquary vessels and covers from the sacred chamber, restored after extensive conservation, along with findings from scientific research on these precious religious ensembles. Experience the spiritual world of the Hwangnyongsa wooden pagoda's sacred ornaments, a defining symbol of Silla Buddhism.
