Gaya Theme Park Light Festival - Voyage Toward the Light
가야테마파크 빛 축제 빛을 향한 항해
The third Gimhae Light Festival runs August 14-23, 2026, at Gaya Theme Park, reviving the legendary 2,000-year-old maritime route of Queen Heo Hwang-ok's journey from India to Gaya. Visitors traverse a luminous path with stunning light installations, illuminations, media art, and photo zones arranged in three acts: departure, voyage, and arrival. Weekends feature local food zones, artisan markets, and performances of jazz and fusion gugak. The opening ceremony on August 15 culminates in a breathtaking 3,000-shot multimedia fireworks display. Open daily from 5:20 PM to 10 PM (last entry 9 PM) with admission of 2,000 won per person, the festival blends light, history, performances, cuisine, and art.
