Seoul Royal Palace Guard Changing Ceremony
서울 왕궁수문장 교대의식
This historically-grounded reenactment depicts the changing of the guard at Joseon royal palace gates, centered on Deoksugung. Ceremonies are held six days weekly at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. in front of Daehan Gate. Visitors can participate in immersive experiences: beat the drum to signal ceremony start, don a guard uniform and perform the role, wear authentic Joseon dynasty clothing, or pose for commemorative photos with guards. All programs require advance reservation except traditional costume fittings.
