Landscapes of Ancient Kingdoms — Rulers of Dalgubul

고대 왕국의 풍경 - 달구벌의 지배자(가제)

Daegu has a long and dynamic history since the Paleolithic period, with Three Kingdoms-era remains notably preserved in the form of imposing tumuli. Unlike other regions in Yeongnam, Daegu contains several massive mounds that served as political centers of an ancient kingdom known as Dalgubul. This exhibition provides a comprehensive archaeological study of the findings to date, including recent excavations of the Dalseong and Guam-dong tomb groups in Daegu, offering a complete picture of the culture and society of these ancient inhabitants.

  1. 1

Check opening hours on the museum's official site

Many Korean national museums close one day a week, often Mondays — worth checking before you make the trip.

  2. 2

Book a time slot for the most popular exhibitions

The most anticipated temporary exhibitions sometimes limit access to online time-slot reservations, especially on weekends.

  3. 3

    Permanent collections are often free

Only certain special or temporary exhibitions charge admission — the permanent collection itself is free to enter at most national museums.

  4. 4
