Saenggeo Jincheon Cultural Festival
생거진천 문화축제
Since 1979, this flagship festival of Chungcheongbuk Province celebrates Jincheon's cultural heritage each autumn along the Baekgok River. The three-day program features traditional folk music competitions, local food contests, ssireum (Korean wrestling matches), and performances, exhibitions, and activities for all ages. Visitors can enjoy regional specialties and shop for local agricultural products. Tens of thousands of spectators gather annually for this major cultural event, which also serves as a marketplace for the region's farm and artisan goods.
