The Busan Festival of Traditional Folk Arts, taking place on October 24–25, 2026 at Dassom Plaza in Busan Metropolitan Park, showcases the city's intangible cultural heritage and traditional folk culture through performances and hands-on experiences. The festival features three main areas: the Pungnyumadang stage, hosting opening ceremonies and performances of intangible heritage from Busan and other regions alongside international acts, the Somssimadang workshop space, where visitors can try traditional embroidery, pottery, shoemaking, fan decoration, and kite crafting with local artisans, and the Janchimadenag celebration area, offering traditional games such as stilts and tug-of-war, a marketplace for hanbok and traditional crafts, stamp tours, and opportunities to experience traditional accessories.
