Since 1997, this festival celebrates Bonghwa's prized pine mushroom, a rare product grown above 600 meters altitude that captivates gastronomes worldwide with its distinctive aroma and flavor. It features immersive experiences including mushroom foraging, culinary tastings of local specialties, interactive auctions, and golden bell challenges. Beyond commerce, the festival emphasizes nature conservation and ecological values. Programming includes traditional performances, diverse musical concerts, a spectacular colored bibimbap performance, wrestling competition, cultural festival elements, and a themed singing room showcasing the festival's 30-year history.
