Chungju Heritage Night
충주 국가유산야행
This three-day nighttime heritage festival at Gwana Park reinterprets Chungju's historic stature as the former seat of central administration and regional capital under the Joseon dynasty. Organized around eight themes—evening views, historic walks, historical narratives, artistic displays, storytelling, dining, overnight stays, and markets—the event activates heritage monuments like Cheongnyeong pavilion and Jegeumdang hall as living cultural hubs. Historical puppetry, street performances, lantern mazes, traditional arts, folk theater, and stamp-collecting tours open windows onto Jungwon culture. A reconstructed traditional market, vintage food stalls, and artisan thrift shops enliven the festival.
