Yeongdeok National Heritage Night Walk 2026
영덕 국가유산야행
From August 21-23, Yeongdeok hosts an immersive night walk through its historical heritage under the evocative subtitle 'Yeongdeok 1926: Walk That Forgotten Night.' The historic Yeongdeok market street, one of only six town-level streets recognized as national heritage, becomes the stage for 40 free programs daily from 7 pm to 11 pm distributed across eight themes: landscapes, alleys, stories, legends, cuisine and nightlife. Immersive outdoor performances (historical musical theater, equestrian circus, cabaret), period costume parades, silent film screenings, traditional performing arts, and participatory experiences (rickshaw rides, period clothing fittings, rubbings, creative workshops) recreate the atmosphere of 1926. Visitors also discover reimagined dining (historic taverns, food trucks) and nearby traditional accommodations enabling complete cultural immersion.
