The Dance of Revolution boldly departs from traditional narrative structure by presenting eight independent scenes that illuminate fragmented moments at the heart of revolution, without causal connections. Yet the obsessively repeated dialogue, sounds, objects, and lighting on stage, combined with the actors' precise movements, reveal the work's intimate structure. Through these patterns, audiences sense organic connections between scenes beyond the narrative, experiencing a new theatrical horizon. This project focuses on text as the essence of theatre, exploring contemporary theatre's present and future through five major works reinterpreted by renowned Korean directors—Kim Ara, Kim Gwangbo, Kim Woo-ok, Lee Seong-yeol, and Han Tae-suk—spanning from Shakespeare to contemporary Korean playwrights.
