Gochang Moyang Fortress Festival
고창모양성제
This festival celebrates Moyang Fortress, remarkably well-preserved, through history and culture. The ritual walking play 'dapseong nori' is its heart: legend holds that one loop cures ailments, two bring longevity, and three promise enlightenment. Visitors can dance 'ganggangsullae' under the moon, witness a grand street parade gathering a thousand residents, or immerse themselves in history with 'Returns 1453,' an immersive fortress visit. The festival also celebrates local flavors with regional product markets and direct vendors.
