Gochang Moyang Fortress Festival

고창모양성제

This historic and cultural festival celebrates Moyang Fortress, one of Korea's best-preserved fortifications. The main attraction is Dapseong-nori, a traditional circular dance believed to cure ailments on one circuit, bring longevity on two, and lead to paradise on three. Visitors can enjoy nighttime processions blending Dapseong-nori with Ganggang Sullae featuring thousands of participants, historical reenactments within the fortress (Returns 1453), drone shows, farmers' markets with local specialties, family zones, and traditional game workshops.
