Gyeongsan Gat-bawi Wish Fulfillment Festival
경산 갓바위소원성취축제
The 25th edition of this festival celebrates a centuries-old sacred shrine devoted to wish-fulfillment and spiritual fulfillment, featuring a harmonious blend of traditional culture and contemporary performances. Held over two days (September 19-20) at the Gat-bawi Parking Lot No. 3, the festival opens with a grand religious assembly featuring rock concerts, meditative chanting, and vocal offerings, followed by a healing music concert with renowned gugak musician Nam Sang-il and pop artists Radi and Jung-in. The second day features an elegant classical concert with the Gyeongsan Philharmonic Orchestra and celebrated soloists. Visitors can participate in immersive experiences including temple running, Buddhist temple food demonstrations, lantern-lighting ceremonies, and traditional craft workshops. A lively food market showcases local specialties, including the region's famous Wachon plums, creating a festive atmosphere of community celebration and shared wishes.
