This 25th edition celebrates the millennium-old legacy of the Gat-bawi Buddha statue at Mount Palgongsan (National Treasure) and its tradition of wish fulfillment, under the slogan "Renaissance of the Sacred Land of Thousand Wishes." The festival, held September 19–20 at Gyeongsan Living Sports Park, blends traditional culture with modern performances. September 19 opens with a vibrant Buddhist ceremony combining rock music, narrative song, and sound meditation, followed by a spectacular opening ceremony sharing harmony bibimbap and a healing music concert featuring renowned musicians. September 20 presents a prestigious wish concert featuring the Gyeongsan Symphony Orchestra and Choir with acclaimed soloists. Concurrently, temple running and a Buddhist retreat program run at Seonbonsa Temple. At the main plaza, visitors engage in Buddhist cooking demonstrations, wish-writing, and various workshops. Vendor booths showcase Wachon plums, a regional specialty, alongside other local products.
