Gangneung, the city renowned for noodle dishes, hosts its signature culinary festival featuring kalguksu, makguksu, jjamppong, and many other specialties. Renamed "Gangneung Noodle Festival" for its 5th edition in 2026, the event runs from October 15–18 on Wolhwa Street. Visitors can taste diverse Gangneung noodle varieties at dedicated food zones, participate in noodle-making workshops, enjoy cooking shows, and discover both renowned restaurants and hidden local gems. Concerts, competitions, and exhibitions round out the festival for an unforgettable autumn celebration.
