금정산성축제
Celebrating Geumjeongsan's newly designated national park status in 2026, this festival honors Korea's largest mountain fortress and its ecological and historical wealth. The festival offers a rich variety of programs: guided hiking excursions with storytelling about history and nature, eco-tours with specialist guides exploring local biodiversity, traditional fortress-building workshops, Joseon-era cultural experiences, and virtual reality fortress tours. Performances include a musical created by residents, ceremonial opening and closing events, participatory karaoke, and local artist acts. Flea markets, calligraphy contests, a makgeolli (traditional rice alcohol) festival, and various exhibitions enrich the experience.
