The Kingdom of Gold: The Essence of Silla Cultural Heritage
금관의 나라 – 신라문화유산의 정수-
This exhibition marks the first introduction of Silla's thousand-year history and culture to China. Founded in 57 B.C., this ancient Korean kingdom flourished through mastery of iron-working and developed a distinctive culture expressed in elaborate gold crowns, refined metalwork, and Buddhist art. The exhibition examines three themes: golden culture, reflecting Silla's expanding confidence; international exchange, revealing its openness beyond East Asia; and Buddhist art, which profoundly influenced society and creative expression. Through this inaugural presentation in China, audiences will gain deeper understanding of this remarkable ancient Korean civilization.
