Taebaek Sunflower Festival
태백 해바라기축제
Founded on a purely civilian vision, this festival transforms Guwaui village into a unique space for art and relaxation. Nestled in the mountains at 800 meters elevation, one million sunflowers bloom across this natural canvas, creating a surreal landscape complemented by cosmos hills. Stroll through the sunflower forest of the Baekdu Daegan, observe semi-wild mountain goats, explore environmental art installations by renowned artists, and admire sunflower paintings and natural flower arrangements. Galleries also showcase art reproductions and raw wood works. It's a haven of peace for weary souls seeking genuine communion with nature. Admission: 7,000 won (reduced rate 5,000 won for children, students, and groups of 20 or more).
