This retrospective of sculptor Park Seok-won (b. 1942), who has sustained a career spanning over 60 years, traces the development of Korean abstract sculpture. Through his sculptural investigations using steel, aluminum, plaster, wood, stone, and traditional Korean paper—materials structured through abstraction and reduction—the exhibition documents his artistic evolution: from informel abstract iron sculpture through avant-garde sculptural experiments, abstract material sculpture, and the spatialization of human consciousness.
